Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities like child & youth therapy, behavior management, grief counseling, and addiction counseling. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring client safety. Maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards, including progress notes, treatment planning, and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless patient care across various settings including inpatient and outpatient environments. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited program. Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent state credential. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or hospitals. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Familiarity with evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, chronic pain counseling, or gender issues counseling is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and telehealth platforms to facilitate patient care remotely when needed. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
