Program Opening:
January 2027 Fresh Coast Counseling is hiring Mental Health Professionals to join our new child and adolescent day treatment program opening in January 2027. This is an opportunity to help shape a supportive, relationship-centered program from the beginning while providing meaningful care to youth and families in the Kenosha community. Each clinician will be assigned primarily to either our Children's Program , serving kindergarten through fifth grade, or our Adolescent Program , serving sixth through twelfth grade. Program assignment will be based on the clinician's experience, interests, and staffing needs. Occasional cross-program consultation or coverage may be requested. The anticipated first report date is January 4, 2027 , allowing time for orientation, team training, program preparation, and clinical coordination before youth begin attending.
$58,000-$64,000 annually Starting salary is based on licensure, experience, relevant training, supervisory needs, and experience serving children, adolescents, and families. Position Responsibilities The Mental Health Professional will: Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Complete or contribute to assessments, diagnostic formulation, treatment plans, treatment reviews, and discharge planning. Maintain a manageable primary caseload within the assigned program. Facilitate developmentally appropriate psychotherapy and therapeutic process groups. Collaborate with youth, parents, Mental Health Support Workers, therapists, schools, prescribers, and community providers. Provide clinical guidance regarding treatment goals, individualized interventions, behavior support, and youth needs. Assess and respond to safety concerns, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, aggression, abuse, neglect, and other urgent clinical needs. Develop safety plans and participate in therapeutic de-escalation and post-crisis processing. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Wisconsin DHS Chapter 40, payer requirements, professional standards, and program policies. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, consultation, supervision, training, quality improvement, and program development. Fresh Coast Counseling uses supportive and empathetic strategies tailored to each young person's needs. Our work focuses on helping youth manage emotions, strengthen relationships, and participate more successfully at home, at school, and in the community.
Qualifications Applicants must have:
A master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field. A current Wisconsin credential or eligibility to practice as a Mental Health Professional or Qualified Treatment Trainee. Eligibility may include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, APSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT, or another qualifying credential. The ability to provide psychotherapy within their education, credential, supervision, and scope of practice. Strong clinical documentation, communication, and collaboration skills. The ability to complete required background and exclusion checks. Experience with children, adolescents, families, day treatment, school-based mental health, crisis response, neurodivergent youth, play therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma treatment, or family therapy is preferred.
