Join our dynamic Wellness Center as a Mental Health Therapist dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based mental health and behavioral care. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals across diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and families. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral issues, and developmental disabilities, fostering resilience and wellness in a supportive environment. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-specific interventions, play therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing. Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Collect and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines, including medical records and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure holistic patient care. Provide crisis intervention and conflict management support during urgent situations to ensure client safety and well-being. Engage in cultural diversity counseling to effectively serve clients from varied backgrounds, respecting their unique experiences and perspectives. Experience Proven experience working with children, youth, and families in mental health or behavioral health settings. Demonstrated expertise in home & community care environments along with experience in social work or related fields. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and medical records management. Skilled in conducting mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and case management activities. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, crisis management, and trauma-specific interventions is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is preferred. Strong communication skills for client engagement, intake procedures, patient assessments, and family collaboration are essential.
