In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health counseling and support to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve their overall well-being. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual and family therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs, including medication management collaboration with psychiatrists when applicable. Maintain thorough medical records and documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical terminology and coding for billing purposes using CPT coding standards. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote counseling sessions while ensuring confidentiality and data security. Support patients dealing with trauma-related issues such as PTSD or grief through specialized counseling approaches. Requirements Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or geriatric populations in outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance standards. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and crisis management. Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering remote patient care effectively. Ability to handle crisis situations swiftly with effective crisis intervention skills. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
