Please submit resumes to Shanti Bose, Program Director at Job Description This position is responsible for providing trauma-informed mental health therapy to children birth to 8 years old and their caregivers, particularly those at risk of entering the child welfare system or currently involved in the child welfare system. The therapist will deliver services through in-person office visits, outdoor settings, and virtual sessions, incorporating evidence-based models with culturally responsive and mindfulness-based practices.Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services to children birth to 8 years old and their caregivers. Conducting mental health assessments and creating individualized treatment plans. Providing family-centered therapy to address childhood trauma and enhance caregiver-child relationships. Supporting families with a focus on those at risk of entering or currently involved in the child welfare system. Incorporating mindfulness and land-based therapeutic practices into interventions as appropriate. Maintaining timely and accurate documentation of services in compliance with organizational standards. Maintaining a caseload to complete 25-30 client sessions per week. Participating in outreach efforts to engage families across diverse communities in Orange, Chatham, Durham, Wake, Caswell, and Sampson counties. Collaborating with caregivers, child welfare professionals, and community partners to support children's social-emotional development.Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field. Clinically licensed (LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or equivalent) to practice in North Carolina. Experience working with children who have experienced trauma and their families. Knowledge of early childhood development, trauma-informed care practices, and the child welfare system.Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish). Training in evidence-based practices such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Experience integrating mindfulness and nature-based or land-based therapeutic approaches. Familiarity with working in nonprofit or grant-funded programs. Paneled with Medicaid and private insurance companies, or willingness to become paneled with support from KidSCope.Work Environment:
The therapist will provide services in various settings, including office-based environment for one-on-one and family therapy sessions, outdoor settings to incorporate land-based and nature-focused therapeutic approaches and virtual platforms for tele-health sessions to accommodate client needs. The therapist must be comfortable working in both structured clinical settings and flexible, natural environments.Hours of Work:
Flexible between 4pm•8pm Monday•Friday. Some weekend availability required to support outreach events. These hours may vary to meet the program needs and needs of clients.Salary Range:
$35•$60 per hourLocation:
Based in Orange County, serving Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Orange, Sampson, and Wake counties.Pay:
