Full Job Description Part-Time Therapist Company Description:

Metamorphosis Therapy Center is a specialty behavioral health practice dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and men who have sex with men (MSM) in recovery from substance use and sexual addiction. We provide evidence-based, affirming, trauma-informed care rooted in sex-positive and harm-reduction principles. Our approach honors each individual's unique experiences and recovery journey, with emphasis on dignity, cultural responsiveness, and long-term wellness. We operate two locations in the Greater Philadelphia area and are expanding our team to deepen our capacity for both individual and group-based care.

Role Description:

The Therapist at Metamorphosis Therapy Center provides individual and occasional group therapy to clients engaged in recovery services, using evidence-based modalities and trauma-informed approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and coordinating care with external providers. The Therapist offers psychoeducation, crisis intervention when needed, and ongoing support that promotes client safety, resilience, and progress toward recovery goals. This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, with a combination of onsite sessions and some work-from-home hours. All supervision hours will be provided for free from a LPC with over 15 years of experince working with addiction and trauma. Compensation rate is $120/hr.

Qualifications:

Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) in Pennsylvania, or relevant master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Experience providing individual and group therapy, preferably in substance use treatment, mental health, or co-occurring disorders settings. Knowledge of evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches (such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, or relapse prevention) and the ability to apply them in a recovery-oriented framework. Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and regulatory/ethical standards. Excellent communication, collaboration, and boundary-setting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and engage diverse client populations. Ability to manage a part-time hybrid schedule in Philadelphia, PA, including onsite client sessions and remote telehealth or administrative work. Pay:
