The outpatient setting promotes a community-oriented approach, allowing therapists to connect with clients in meaningful ways. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental and emotional health, evaluating factors such as distress levels, relationship dynamics, and personal goals. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with clients' unique needs, continuously adapting these plans to reflect client progress. Facilitate individual therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients across all age groups to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies for various mental health challenges. Conduct couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthier relationships. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and provide holistic support, ensuring all client needs are addressed. Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines for confidentiality and accurate record-keeping. Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, offering immediate support to clients in acute distress and developing safety plans where appropriate. Stay updated on the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in therapy and mental health care. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including training sessions and workshops, to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field. Advocate for client rights and well-being, empowering them with resources and information to navigate their treatment journey effectively. Encourage self-care practices among clients, reinforcing the importance of wellness activities both in and out of therapy sessions. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice serves a broad spectrum of clients, including teens, adults, and couples facing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, adapting your therapeutic approach to best suit their unique experiences and cultural contexts. Qualifications A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required. Active and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory. Proven experience providing therapy to individuals and/or couples, with a focus on fostering therapeutic relationships. Exceptional writing and communication skills necessary for the timely completion of progress notes and treatment plans. Familiarity with electronic health record systems to ensure efficient documentation and client communication. Preferred Experience Experience working with both children and adults, understanding the nuances in therapeutic approaches required for different age groups. Prior experience in a remote counseling setting is advantageous, demonstrating proficiency in using digital platforms for therapy delivery. Experience in collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time position ranges between USD 90,000 and 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
