Job Description
New Hope Healing (www.new-hope-healing) is a looking for a licensed mental health professional to join our team as a school-based therapist. We currently have partnerships with Des Moines, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines and SouthEast Polk Public Schools. Please look at our website at www.new-hope-healing.com for more information about our team and philosophy. Our Ideal Candidate Has experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Is passionate about serving underserved and marginalized communities. Utilizes a systems-based approach when supporting students and families. Practices from a trauma-informed, attachment-focused perspective or is eager to learn. Has training or experience in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, or other evidence-based play therapy approaches (or a willingness to develop these skills). Benefits Include Flexible 1099 opportunities (part-time or full-time) with scheduling autonomy and competitive compensation (77/23% for temporarily licensed therapists; 80/20% for fully licensed therapists). Comprehensive billing, credentialing, scheduling, and administrative support. Clinical supervision for temporarily licensed therapists. School-Based Therapist consultation, mentorship, and team-building opportunities. A highly collaborative environment alongside mental health therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physical therapists. Free CEUs and ongoing professional development through in-house trainings with local and nationally recognized presenters. Summer stipend for eligible school-based therapists.
