60/40 Revenue Split (Therapist Receives 60%) We are seeking a licensed therapist who is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practice and committed to helping build accessible mental health services for an underserved population.

This role is an opportunity to be part of something larger than a traditional private practice. Our goal is to expand access to affirming care for neurodivergent individuals while contributing to suicide prevention efforts through early intervention, community support, and evidence-informed treatment.

About Us The Danny Boy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to affirming mental health care for neurodivergent individuals and advancing suicide prevention efforts. We advance our mission through three interconnected areas/pillars: education and training, neurodiversity-affirming clinical services, and practical supports that help neurodivergent individuals and families thrive in everyday life. Position Overview We are looking for a therapist to deliver mental health services as part of a nonprofit clinical program. We seek someone who values collaboration, inclusivity, and affirming care across the lifespan. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and caseload size, making it ideal for clinicians seeking part-time or supplemental practice opportunities. As we continue to grow, building a full caseload may take time. This role is well-suited for clinicians who are motivated by our mission and interested in helping expand access to care. Responsibilities Provide neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families Deliver services through a combination of in-person and telehealth appointments Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with clinic leadership regarding referrals, scheduling, and care coordination as needed Practice in accordance with ethical, legal, and professional standards of your discipline Maintain active professional liability insurance QualificationsRequired Current unrestricted Michigan licensure as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) Experience working with autistic individuals, ADHD, learning differences, and other neurodivergent populations and/or commitment to providing neurodiversity-affirming care Ability to provide some in-person services at our Farmington Hills location Professional liability insurance Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor or W2 employee in the United States Preferred Experience serving children, adolescents, and families Training in evidence-based interventions relevant to neurodivergent populations Existing insurance credentialing/panel participation Compensation & Benefits Therapists receive 60% of collected revenue. Based on average reimbursement rates of approximately $135 per session, clinicians earn about $81 per completed session . Caseloads are built through referrals and insurance credentialing and may take approximately 3-4 months to develop . While earnings vary based on caseload size and payer mix, a therapist maintaining 20 sessions per week can expect to earn approximately $65,000
  • 78,000 annually once established. First-year earnings may be lower as a caseload develops. Flexible scheduling and caseload size Hybrid work model combining telehealth and in-person services Administrative support for insurance credentialing and paneling
  • Therapists who are not currently credentialed with our participating insurance plans will be supported through the credentialing process.
