JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
OF POSITION
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic offers a variety of services to post 9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard and their family members. Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic has a commitment to training, consultation and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. Therapist will deliver short-term treatment, 8-12 sessions. Therapists at this location have manageable caseloads, well designed work schedule and consistent clinical support. Salary is commensurate with a General Schedule (GS) 12 for this region. The Therapist will support the Centerstone Mission, Vision and Values in delivering care that changes people's lives. Therapist will communicate clearly and appropriately; provides excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides direct services including treatment for Veterans and their families.
  • Performs and documents patient's screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress and referral information.
  • Conducts clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
  • Provides individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to clients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the caregiver, physician, clinic director, case management and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
  • Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
  • Remote team member works from home setting in state of residence.
  • Maintains presence on instant message platform for entirety of 40 hour work week.
  • Provides services via telehealth platform.
  • Expected to obtain licensure in multiple states.
  • Abides by all in-office regulations related to scheduling to include using both a centralized scheduling model and utilizing designated office staff to schedule and/or block any non-client facing time. Consults and seeks approval by a supervisor prior to any non-client block requests.
  • Ensures office space is private, free from outside noise and distractions.
  • Ensures that background is free of clutter and distractions.
  • Uses headset or headphones for better audio quality if need is identified.
  • Utilizes a set plan to manage technical failures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level Master's degree in social work required. and ability to obtain and maintain license to independently practice as an
LCSW, LPC
  • MHSP, or Psychologist in applicable state. Years of Experience
  • Three years' clinical experience in behavioral healthcare required. This may be fulfilled through clinical practicums or internships completed as part of a master's degree program.
  • Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required.
  • Knowledge in DSM-V diagnoses is required.
  • Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
  • Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following Evidenced Based Practices is preferred: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
  • Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment is preferred.
  • Experience working with a military or veteran population to include cultural competence is preferred.
  • Experience treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship/family issues, and substance use disorders is preferred.
Certification/Licensure Must be certified as a
LCSW, LPC
  • MHSP, or Psychologist in applicable state.
Ability to be a TRICARE certified mental health counselor (TCMHC) is required.
Starting Salary Range:
$84,000
  • $87,000 PHYSICAL
