Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Specialist to join our mental health services team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to individuals facing mental health challenges, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and interventions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering personalized care in a professional and supportive environment. The position requires a strong understanding of mental health issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to clients' needs, including art therapy and gender issues counseling. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and healthcare teams. Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans. Stay current with advancements in psychopharmacology and other relevant therapeutic techniques through ongoing professional development. Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring safety and stability for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; advanced licensure or certification preferred. 3 - 5 years of experience in Behavioral Health Proven experience working with diverse populations in mental health settings. Knowledge of art therapy techniques, psychopharmacology principles, and gender issues counseling is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate approach with a commitment to client-centered care. This position is an integral part of our mental health services team dedicated to providing high-quality support and intervention for individuals seeking assistance with their mental well-being.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
