Participates in the evaluation and treatment of patients while working towards encouraging participation with ongoing mental health care decisions and services as appropriate. Responsibilities Provides care by evaluating and providing diagnostic impressions and treatment. Coordinates with referring physician, individuals, and family members throughout the treatment and performs crisis intervention as needed. Records all sessions according to protocols for supervision, feedback, and quality assurance checks. Monitors patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensures patient safety if necessary. Collaborates with project coordinators and administrative assistants to coordinate patient visits. Attends appropriate training workshops, interdisciplinary meetings and client staffing as required. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas
EO-GA-48.
Qualifications Clinical knowledge and experience with mental health issues. Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment. Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills. Required Skills Three (3) years related experience is required.
