Job Description
Georgetown Psychology is a well-established, multi-office private practice serving children, adolescents, adults, and families across the DC metro area. We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Therapist to join our growing McLean, VA office. There is also opportunity to work with adults, including college students. This position is ideal for a clinician who loves working with children (ages 4+) and families, values learning and collaboration, and wants to be part of a thoughtful, supportive clinical community. About the Position The Child & Adolescent Therapist provides outpatient therapy to children and adolescents (with parent involvement as clinically indicated). Our approach is strengths-based, developmentally informed, and family-centered. You'll have the opportunity to build a caseload that aligns with your interests and expertise, while being supported by an experienced leadership and administrative team. Responsibilities Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults Incorporate parent guidance and family sessions when appropriate Utilize evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and neurodiversity-affirming interventions tailored to each child and family Collaborate with parents, schools, and other providers Complete timely clinical documentation Participate in a weekly consultation group with our clinical team Provide presentations as part of our Parent Education Series (if interested) Preferred Experience Training or experience in play therapy or play-based interventions Experience working with neurodiverse children (e.g., ADHD, autism, PDA) Familiarity with neurodiversity-affirming frameworks and collaborative parent work Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field Licensed in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) For psychologists, authority to practice telepsychology under PSYPACT (preferred) Experience working with children and families Strong clinical judgment, warmth, and professionalism Commitment to ongoing learning and training What We Offer Competitive compensation (W-2 hourly or salaried position) Opportunity for additional compensation through our bonus program Flexible scheduling with strong administrative support Collaborative team culture Opportunities for supervision, mentorship, and professional growth Beautiful office space in our new McLean location Why Georgetown Psychology?
