Our mission is to provide accessible, transformative care that supports the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of the individuals and families we serve. Through evidence-based therapy, holistic wellness approaches, and culturally responsive care, we are committed to increasing access to quality mental health services and making a meaningful impact within our community. We are seeking a full-time Resident in Counseling who is committed to professional growth, open to feedback, and passionate about helping clients create lasting change. STIW provides a structured, supportive environment in which clinicians receive ongoing guidance, training, and operational support as they develop the skills needed for long-term success. Our Values Humility with Confidence Reliability Thirst for Knowledge Solution-Focused Community Impact Position Details Full-time, hybrid position Three in-office days per week required Availability between 10:00 AM-6:00 PM or 11:00 AM-7:00 PM Target caseload of 26 client sessions per week What We Provide Weekly individual supervision at no cost Monthly peer consultation Twice-monthly clinical trainings Access CBT/DBT trainings Resident mentor support Operational support for scheduling, retention, and practice systems Structured onboarding and ongoing professional development Compensation $42-$52 per clinical session Additional compensation provided for supervision, meetings, training, and administrative responsibilities Full-Time Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid Time Off Holiday pay 401(k)
Compensation:
$42 - $52 hourly flat rate
Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults Maintain a target caseload of 26 client sessions per week Complete documentation within established timeframes Develop and maintain treatment plans that support medical necessity Participate in supervision, consultation, and training activities Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with Virginia regulations Collaborate with team members to support client care and engagement
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Counseling Psychology Active Virginia Resident in Counseling or eligible for Virginia residency Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to receive and apply feedback Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning Professionalism in communication, appearance, documentation, and client care Reliability, accountability, and follow-through Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Experience working with adolescents and adults preferred We are looking for clinicians who value growth, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork and who are committed to providing quality care to the clients and communities we serve.
