This position is primarily responsible for facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for adults receiving treatment in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our group facilitators work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and play an important role in creating a safe, structured, and engaging therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about group therapy, comfortable working with diverse clinical presentations, and able to utilize evidence-based interventions to support meaningful client progress. Responsibilities Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-based, and process-oriented therapy groups within PHP and IOP programming Deliver engaging, clinically appropriate group interventions based on established program curricula and client needs Utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and other applicable therapeutic interventions Encourage active client participation while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries and group structure Assess and respond appropriately to changes in client presentation, including emotional distress, behavioral concerns, or potential safety issues Communicate clinical concerns and relevant client updates to the treatment team Complete accurate and timely group documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements Collaborate with therapists, psychiatry, nursing, case management, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in accordance with HIPAA and applicable ethical and regulatory requirements Participate in training or clinical meetings as required based on role and scheduling Perform other group programming or clinical duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Clinical Director Schedule Per Diem Flexible days between Monday and Saturday Morning and/or evening group availability Flexible shift availability based on program needs Preferably available for shifts of at least 4 hours In-person position Opportunity for additional hours based on program needs and facilitator availability Qualifications Active LPC or LCSW license required Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution Experience facilitating therapy or psychoeducational groups preferred Experience working in outpatient behavioral health, PHP, IOP, or another structured behavioral health setting preferred Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and other best practices Strong group facilitation, communication, and clinical judgment skills Ability to effectively manage group dynamics and engage clients with varying levels of motivation and clinical needs Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team Strong documentation and organizational skills Experience with electronic health records preferred Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus Preferred Qualifications TF-CBT trained Experience facilitating groups in PHP or IOP mental health settings Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Experience facilitating CBT, DBT, coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, or other structured clinical groups Position Highlights Competitive per diem compensation based on experience Flexible scheduling opportunities Morning and evening availability Collaborative, team-oriented clinical environment Professional development opportunities Potential for additional hours as programming expands Medical Specialties Behavioral Health Mental Health Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Work Setting In-person PHP and IOP behavioral health programming
