In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals through personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when applicable. Implement evidence-based practices including motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis, and crisis intervention techniques to support clients with complex needs. Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations to ensure quality care and compliance. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed approaches. Maintain accurate medical records, documentation of patient progress, and billing information using EMR/EHR systems while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, PTSD, addiction issues, or co-occurring disorders. Engage in ongoing research activities or data collection initiatives to enhance clinical practices and improve patient outcomes. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient settings with a focus on mental health counseling or behavioral health services. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or behavioral therapy. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with medical terminology is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering clinical services remotely in compliance with HIPAA standards. Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in a clinical setting involving crisis intervention or crisis management is advantageous. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving grief counseling, gender issues counseling, chronic pain counseling, or addiction counseling while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
