On-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington Heart-Centered Health is seeking an experienced, independently licensed mental health professional to provide approximately 20 hours per week of on-site mental health consultation and clinical services within a structured residential vocational training program serving youth and young adults ages 16-24. This position is well suited for a clinician who enjoys working with adolescents and young adults in a collaborative, team-based environment. Services include mental health assessment, brief counseling, crisis support, consultation, wellness education, documentation, referrals, and coordination with the Center's Health and Wellness and student-support teams. The right clinician will be warm, steady, clinically confident, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. Required Licensure - Please Read Carefully Candidates must currently hold one of the following unrestricted Washington State licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW); or Licensed Psychologist No other mental health license meets the contractual requirement for this position. Associate or supervised licenses do not qualify. Psychologists may hold a PsyD or PhD, but must be currently licensed as a Psychologist in Washington State. Candidates must also have at least one year of independently licensed clinical practice providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents, young adults, or transitional-age youth. Responsibilities Provide mental health assessments, brief counseling, and clinical intervention. Support students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, behavioral concerns, and other mental health needs. Provide crisis assessment, intervention, safety planning, and referral when a higher level of care is appropriate. Collaborate with the Health and Wellness team and other student-support personnel. Participate in case consultation and coordinated care planning. Provide mental health education and wellness programming as appropriate. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Coordinate referrals to community mental health resources when needed. Maintain appropriate clinical boundaries, confidentiality, and professional standards. Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and student-centered environment. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Washington LICSW or Washington Licensed Psychologist credential. Minimum one year of clinical practice after obtaining independent licensure. Experience assessing and treating adolescents, young adults, or transitional-age youth. Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently. Experience with brief intervention, crisis support, consultation, documentation, and coordinated care. Trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach. Ability to successfully complete required background screening and onboarding. Hours are scheduled during weekdays, with no nights, no weekends, no on-call responsibilities. A consistent weekly schedule will be coordinated with the clinician and vocational training center.
