Work Environment This is a full-time, remote position that also allows for some in-person engagement at our outpatient office, providing a flexible work-setting to accommodate both client needs and therapist schedules. Our clinicians work in a collaborative atmosphere, interacting with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure each patient receives comprehensive care tailored to their unique circumstances. The position includes flexible hours, with the possibility of evening and weekend sessions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, enabling the development of personalized treatment plans. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to foster effective therapeutic outcomes. Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team to strategize care plans that address mental health conditions within the context of familial and social dynamics. Provide guidance and support to family members of clients, helping them to understand and navigate the rehabilitation process. Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to ethical and regulatory standards in mental health care. Stay current with professional developments by participating in trainings, workshops, and supervision meetings to continually enhance therapeutic skills. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse client base, including individuals and families dealing with a wide array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and grief. Our clinic particularly focuses on the unique dynamics of familial relationships, requiring sensitivity, empathy, and expertise in navigating complex interpersonal situations. Qualifications A valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential. Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients. Exhibit a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to client issues and experiences. Possess excellent organizational and time management skills for case load management and administrative responsibilities. Preferred Experience Experience in treatment approaches for addiction and dual diagnoses is highly desirable. Familiarity with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Previous experience working in outpatient settings will also be advantageous.
