We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services. What are we looking for in a Therapist? Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. We currently have Therapist positions available with our New Journey team in Yakima, which serves clients aged 18 years and older who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health diagnoses, including some individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. The Therapist for the New Journeys team will be onsite to work with clients at our outpatient clinic, with a regular Monday-Friday 8am-5pm work schedule.
Therapist duties may include:
providing individual and family therapy facilitating behavioral health groups completing mental health intakes and assessments collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated assisting with case management as needed thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social or behavioral science or related field Independent licensure as LMHC or LICSW preferred; at minimum, must be eligible to apply for associate licensure Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
