Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated therapist to join our group practice on the near West Side of Madison. As community is at the core of Equilibrium's work. We are looking for a colleague who feels like a genuine fit with our existing team of clinicians and who values mutual support, professional growth, and a shared passion for the Madison community. While this is an in-person role at our Madison office, telehealth services are provided when clinically indicated and in the client's best interest. Provide high-quality couples, individual, and family therapy. Support clients across a range of challenges, with a focus on relational health. Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards of the profession. Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities within your scope of practice Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention sessions to address a wide range of issues. Document all patient interactions meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards while maintaining accurate medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, educators, and research staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Manage crisis situations effectively by implementing crisis management strategies and behavior management plans to ensure client safety. Stay current with clinical research developments and ICD coding updates to continually refine therapeutic approaches. Deliver telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health support across diverse populations. Valid state licensure as a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent) with active certification to practice independently. Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, couples therapy, EMDR treatment, art/dance therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), etc. Strong knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation. Experience working with children and/or couples Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and crisis management strategies in behavioral health environments. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, case management coordination, and research documentation. Ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Telehealth experience is desirable for providing flexible service delivery options across various platforms. W-2
