Job Details The Genetic Counselor II is a lead resource regarding genetics for patients, healthcare providers and our community. Provides all aspects of genetic counseling including extensive family history, counseling patients and/or families regarding suspected hereditary syndromes, recommending gene testing when appropriate and explaining results to patients with recommendations for screening and risk reduction. Provides education for students enrolled in GC programs and mentors new genetic counselors. Participates in genetic research and community education as well as clinical committees which help to drive quality care.
