Genetics Counselor Job Responsibilities:
Oversees and assists team members in assigned functional area, which may include but not limited to, ensuring team is meeting key-deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed. Provides mentorship, education, and professional development for genetic counseling staff. Designs and delivers structured onboarding, training programs, and continuing education initiatives. Participates in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and retention strategies to maintain a high-performing team. Provides advanced genetic counseling services across a range of indications, applying expert-level clinical judgment and integrating complex genomic data into patient care plans. Serves as a clinical resource for complex or high-risk cases, supporting staff in clinical decision-making and case management. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Master's degree in genetic counseling.
Years of Experience:
4 years of experience in genetic counseling
Certification:
Certification by American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
