Full Job Description TITLE:
Trainer
LOCATION
Yuma SUMMARY:
Full-time position that will develop, plan and implement staff and community training events in Housing for Heroes (HfH) service areas. Maintain training records, recruit Veterans' families, and work closely with the QA Specialist and Data personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Master's Degree in the Social Sciences, Education, Public Health and three years experiences in outreach and developing training materials. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in the Social Sciences, Education, Public Health and five years experience in outreach and developing training materials. Problem solving skills that effectively implement best course of action. Knowledge in Evidence-Based Interventions (EBIs), Public Health Strategies, and Best Practices used with homeless Veterans and families. Knowledge and experience with VA's Families with Children's Initiative. Develop trainings that teach how children experience housing insecurity, active listening, how PTSD, moral injury impact reactions to children's behavior, non-reactive discipline, age-appropriate behavior, and developmental milestones. The Trainer will further assist case managers in locating community support such as meal programs, enrollment in schools, and community activities. Computer skills. Good interpersonal skills. Analytical skills. Experience working with Veterans and children in schools and in the community. Able to obtain fingerprint clearance. Experience in public speaking. • Maintain regular attendance. Able to perform work activities in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
RESPONSABILITIES
Involved in developing community partnerships to identify, screen, and rapidly rehouse Veteran families. Plans and implements public education trainings in Housing First Model and rapid rehousing goals. Network with representatives of local and government entities in order to disseminate messages regarding health and social issues of homeless Veterans families. Coordinate newsletter publications. Contribute educational articles to the project newsletter. Assist with identifying health needs in the community. Participate in ongoing project evaluation activities. Assists with grant writing. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual proficiency (English/ Spanish). Ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Able to travel Able to work evenings and weekends. Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time effectively. Ability to work as a team member. Strong time management and organizing skills. Curricula development and adaptation of EBIs.
Pay:
$30.04 - $33.12 per hour
