Assist with the coordination, development, and implementation of a comprehensive Health Promotion program. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to individual wellness screenings, educational classes, incentive programs, and health fairs. Proficient when performing assessments such as, finger sticks, blood pressure screenings and biometric measurements, height, weight, BMI/body composition. Educate participants to enhance their health awareness on how to make positive lifestyle modification. Maintain current knowledge of health promotion topics to keep the health education program materiel current. Coordinate and/or ensure that supplies, equipment, files are maintained in properly secured storage per regulated guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager. Support Mobile worksite events as applicable.Requirements:
- BA/BS, in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Health Education or related field, and 4 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline (The education and experience as defined is recommended, but not required.)
- Current CPR/AED and first aid certification.
- Exhibit proficiency in the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform tasks related to the technical and professional disciplines required to successfully execute the Health Promotion Specialist position.
- Expected to work independently with little or no supervision to ensure compliance with regulated procedures when performing daily/assigned responsibilities.
