Rooted in community school principles and project-based learning, SVA is committed to whole-child education, inclusive practices, and deep family engagement. SVA offers a state preschool, expanded learning programs, and strong community partnerships that support academic, social-emotional, and wellness outcomes. As a growing school, we are seeking leaders who are equity-driven, collaborative, and passionate about reimagining what is possible for students in rural communities. Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Counselor and the Principal, the Wellness Coach is a staff member dedicated to promoting student wellness through the development and implementation of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs and other supportive initiatives. This individual will play a key role in enhancing the emotional and social well-being of students, working closely with teachers, counseling staff and families to create a positive school environment. The role involves creating a safe and accessible space for students needing assistance with coping skills and school avoidance, as well as performing clerical tasks and serving as a point of contact. The Wellness Coach also establishes positive relationships with students and staff, while adhering to district policies and guidelines. The Wellness Coach should hold a certificate and/or be willing to obtain a certificate during their employment.
