Compensation:
Per-seminar rate, commensurate with experience About AwareWell AwareWell is a local Orange County preventive health screening company. We bring non-invasive health screenings into senior centers, faith communities, and neighborhood organizations for adults 40 and older, at affordable, cash-pay prices. Our mission is to help people understand their health risks early, before warning signs become emergencies. The role We're looking for a warm, credible health educator to deliver short educational seminars (about 30-45 minutes) to community audiences, primarily seniors, at venues across Orange County. These are educational presentations on topics like cardiovascular health, stroke and vascular risk, and the value of preventive screening, not clinical consultations. This is per-diem, event-based work, ideal for someone who wants flexible, meaningful community engagements rather than a full-time role. What you'll do Present clear, engaging health-education seminars to lay audiences, mostly adults 40+ Explain how cardiovascular and vascular conditions develop, and why early, preventive screening matters Answer general audience questions about preventive health in an accessible, reassuring way Represent AwareWell's warm, community-first approach Coordinate with our outreach team on scheduling and logistics What we're looking for A health credential: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), public health background, or equivalent clinical/health-education experience Genuine comfort and skill presenting to groups, especially older adults A warm, trustworthy, jargon-free communication style Reliability and professionalism (these are scheduled community events; consistent attendance is essential) Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred , much of our community work serves Spanish-speaking audiences Nice to have Experience in community health, public health outreach, or health education Background as a community health worker / promotor Familiarity with preventive screening or cardiovascular health Important notes This role is educational only. It does not involve diagnosing, providing individual medical advice, or interpreting personal results. This is a 1099 contractor, per-diem position. Reliable availability for scheduled events is essential.
