Job Summary Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications in coordinating and executing marketing and communications projects to advance the strategic goals of the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work. The Account Manager collaborates closely with faculty and leadership, ensuring consistency with brand standards and university guidelines. Writes and edits stories as assigned. Assists with the production and dissemination of other printed and online materials, including but not limited to e-blasts, social graphics, flyers, advertisements, and annual report stories. Assists the Director of Marketing & Communications in producing and publishing engaging social media content on Stempel College's owned channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. Monitors conversations across all channels and engages with audiences. Analyzes and reports on performance metrics related to social media efforts. Supports events hosted by the college, including conferences, seminars, photoshoots, workshops, and trainings. Collaborates with Strategic Communications, Government & External Affairs on an as needed basis. Coordinates and supports staffing photo and video shoots. Handles confidential and sensitive information with a high level of discretion and professionalism. Stays current on the latest trends, technologies, and emerging tools, including approved AI tools, and provides recommendations to improve marketing and communications efforts in compliance with university guidelines. Manages website content updates and publishing on the Stempel College and FIU websites through the content management system. Leads the planning and creation efforts of basic visual content for digital and print communications, including simple social media graphics, flyers, and collateral materials. Works closely with faculty, staff, leadership, and other internal stakeholders to gather information, develop content, and secure approvals. Ensures content information and links are current and accurate. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced communications environment. Incumbent must lead and conduct interviews with faculty, staff, students, or community members to develop clear, accurate and engaging stories. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications or appropriate degree and three (3) years of experience in a related field. Desired Qualifications Experience in content creation (copy, graphics, etc.), and social media analytics (including reporting performance and engagement) for different platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, Etc. Bilingual (Spanish/English): written and verbal competence to translate documents and to communicate with a Hispanic population. Experience working with content management systems (CMS) to publish stories on the colleges and university websites and make updates as needed.
