Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Lactation Consultant to join a new maternal wellness center opening soon in Miami. Our center is dedicated to supporting families from preconception through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of parenthood by providing evidence-based care in a warm, welcoming environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team focused on empowering families through education, support, and personalized care. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one lactation consultations for prenatal and postpartum families & group sessions on lactation educatio. Assess and support breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and infant feeding challenges. Develop individualized feeding plans based on each family's goals and needs. Educate families on newborn feeding, milk supply, pumping, returning to work, and weaning. Lead or participate in prenatal breastfeeding and newborn education classes, as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare and wellness professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care. Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation. Stay current with evidence-based lactation practices and continuing education. Qualifications IBCLC certification preferred (or equivalent lactation certification). Experience working with newborns and postpartum families. Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental approach to client care. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
