Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures for crew members on board the cruise ship Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards Provide training and education to crew members on topics such as hygiene, disease prevention, and emergency response Monitor and assess the health status of crew members and provide appropriate medical care as needed Collaborate with shipboard medical staff to ensure proper medical protocols and supplies are in place Develop and maintain relationships with local health authorities and medical facilities in ports of call Investigate and report any incidents or outbreaks of illness on board and implement measures to prevent further spread Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all crew members Stay current on industry regulations and best practices related to public health and safety on board vessels
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public health or occupational health role, preferably in a maritime setting Knowledge of international health regulations and standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel and spend extended periods of time at sea
