Group Exercise Aide - Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA Treasure Valley Family YMCA Meridian, ID Job Details Part-time $11.40 - $14.25 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Confidential information handling English Emergency response readiness Full Job Description Our Tomlinson South Meridian branch is seeking a Group Exercise Aide to join the team! This position assists with Land Group Exercise duties as assigned and completes training to be a Land Group Instructor upon meeting job requirements for that position. The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called "The Hill." Responsibilities:
Develop intentional relationships and, using the Y voice attributes, create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants that helps them meet the two Cause Measurement goals for adults. Actively identify participants who need additional support, such as new members, health seekers, and participants with diverse abilities. Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants. Greets and engages participants at assigned program areas. Sets up and stores equipment as directed. Participate and complete assigned training for Land Group Instructor.
Qualifications:
Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome. Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Meet all training requirement for your position in the specified timeframe. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None (if working towards gaining Group Exercise Certification, may not teach until certification is completed.)
Schedule:
This is a part-time position averaging 1-2 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are Monday through Sunday, between the hours of 5:00am and 9:00pm.
