Job Description
EndsideOut (EO) is a health and wellness nonprofit organization based in Baltimore City, MD. We are hiring a Youth Health Educator (YHE) who will be responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination and implementation of health education program(s) and health promotion activities to improve the health of under-served communities. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person health education sessions for elementary and middle school students, parents, and communities in Baltimore, in both Spanish and English.
- Assist with the development, organization and supervision of health education programs and materials for each location (including translation of written materials into Spanish)
- Provide input in the program development of wellness programs and interventions.
- Identify new and maintain existing relationships with community organizations where outreach efforts can be conducted, and health education workshops can be offered for the community at large.
- Conduct presentations at community-based organizations if needed.
- Work closely with and communicate effectively with a team of YHEs and the YHE Coordinator.

- Pay rate: $18-$25/hr (commensurate with experience)
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's or higher degree in education, public health, communication, or related major
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
- Must have some availability during the school day (8am-2pm)
- Must have your own transportation to Baltimore City
- Knowledge of health education issues and programs including public health, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle behaviors
