Job Description

We're looking for a Public Health Educator II to lead and coordinate the daily activities of our Community Health Promotions Program. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive health promotion strategy across a large county, assessing both community and agency needs. You'll play a key role in shaping policies and programs that drive health education and community health improvement. As the Public Health Educator II, you'll supervise a dedicated team of health education staff and interns, guiding them in implementing effective health education strategies. Collaboration is key—your role will involve working closely with County and Municipal partners, hospitals, staff, and local organizations to make a meaningful impact. Master's degree in public health education; or Bachelor's degree in health education and two years of experience in public health education, quality improvement, or related experience; or An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 30 pounds).
