As a vital member of our maternal health team, you will provide emotional reassurance, physical comfort, and evidence-based information to empower women and their families during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a positive birth experience by offering personalized care, advocacy, and education. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families while working within a dynamic, supportive environment. Duties Offer continuous emotional support and physical comfort measures during labor and delivery, including positioning, massage, and relaxation techniques Educate families on birth processes, medical procedures, and postpartum care using clear, compassionate communication Advocate for the mother's preferences and needs in collaboration with medical staff to ensure a respectful birthing experience Assist with postpartum recovery by providing guidance on newborn care, breastfeeding support, and emotional well-being Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans that align with the family's wishes and medical protocols Utilize strong presentation skills to conduct prenatal classes or informational sessions for diverse audiences Experience Must hold doula certification •RN is highly preferred - our entire team of doulas is currently made up of registered nurses. This isn't required but a major bonus. Proven experience as a Birth Doula or in a related maternal health support role Excellent public speaking skills to effectively communicate complex information clearly and confidently Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to childbirth and postpartum care Familiarity with public health principles and case management practices in maternal health settings Strong data analysis skills for tracking client progress and outcomes through data analytics tools Experience in presenting educational content through engaging presentations and workshops Join us in empowering families through compassionate care!
