Job Description

What We Offer Position:
Lactation Consultant Schedule :
PRN (per diem). There is no set schedule or guaranteed hours for
PRN, PRN
staff are asked to sign up for shifts to fill in any staffing gaps, schedule done on a 6 week time tract. Estimated department need is based on volume. Shift options will be either day, evening or nights depending on department need

Requirements:
Current IBCLC certification, required. Forsyth Medical Center named by Newsweek as one of "America's Best Maternity Hospitals 2025! What You'll Do Provides breastfeeding guidance to patients, families, staff, and community in delivering education, information and training that responds to individualized needs in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For Education :
High School Diploma, required. 4 Year/ Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breast feeding education, required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration :
Current IBCLC certification, required. Current RN licensure in appropriate state, preferred.
Additional Skills :
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Excellent customer service skills. Why Choose Novant Health?
