- Graduate Assistant Posting Details Position Information Job Title GA for Campus Wellness
- Student Life & Wellbeing
- Graduate Assistant Department SLWB Business Office Essential Functions The Campus Wellness Graduate Assistant will enhance campus-wide wellness initiatives by providing expertise in the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of projects related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Creates and oversees communication content, using personal judgement and situational awareness, while adhering to UNO's brand guidelines.
- Plans, manages, coordinates, and seeks to improve administrative functions for JED structures to help ensure timely, effective, and efficient operations including but not limited to scheduling and attending meetings, creating agendas, maintaining meeting notes, and synthesizing information across meetings, documents, and/or sources. 10%
- Works closely with the JED project manager and others to plan,anize, and run events (community input forums) that advance the JED initiative and related strategic planning as well as processes and reports any related data. 5%
- Collaborates with JED project manager and Task Force, MarComm, and other University and community stakeholders to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate a robust portfolio of evidence-based and evidence-informed projects related to the JED Campus initiative for student mental health and well-being. 40% Work on Wellness Coaching Initiative 30%
- Works closely with the Assistant Director that oversees Wellness Coaching to oversee the Peer Mentor Wellness Coaches. This includes recruiting, hiring , onboarding, and supervising Peer Mentors. Planning and running monthly training sessions for them. 5%
- Manage the request process for coaches, which includes matching mentees with mentors and tracking requests/sessions, with the potential toanize and track small group sessions. 5%
- Work with the peer mentors and Campus Rec Marketing to promote and do outreach efforts on behalf of the Wellness Coaching program.
