We are seeking reliable, certified instructors to join our roster for immediate and upcoming, part-time contract (1099) training opportunities. This role offers excellent stability paired with ultimate flexibility. We are actively servicing major local accounts—including an ongoing partnership with Catholic Charities and a high-priority contract with Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) Nursing staff launching in the coming weeks. Courses are posted with advanced notice so you can freely accept or decline assignments based entirely on your personal schedule—there are no minimum hour requirements. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, engaging, and compliant CPR, AED, and First Aid instruction to professional healthcare, school nursing, and community students. Ensure all training aligns strictly with current American Heart Association (AHA) and/or Health & Safety Institute (HSI) guidelines. Master and enforce specific compliance, documentation, and protocol requirements required by institutional clients like APS. Deliver training efficiently; instructors who possess and utilize their own approved, compliant training gear are highly preferred for these mobile accounts. Properly document course completion and submit required roster details in a timely manner.
Qualifications Required Certification:
Must hold a current, valid Instructor credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) (BLS & Heartsaver) and/or the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) . (Current dual-certification or willingness to align with HSI via our discounted rate is required).
Equipment Preference:
Instructors who own their own feedback-equipped manikins and AED trainers are highly preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience teaching CPR and safety courses with a strong command of medical/safety protocols (experience training school district or clinical nursing staff is a major plus).
Reliability & Professionalism:
Exceptional communication skills, punctuality, and the strict attention to detail required for compliance-heavy institutional contracts.
Logistics:
Reliable transportation to travel to class locations throughout the Greater Albuquerque area.
Work Authorization:
Must be willing to work as an independent contractor (1099). Why Join Us?
