SUMMARY:
Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center is seeking a qualified CPR Instructor to provide high-quality CPR, First Aid, and related emergency response training for our Business and Industry Services Division. Training will be delivered to business and industry partners, municipalities, public safety agencies, and community organizations throughout our service area. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional skills, current industry certifications, and the ability to effectively teach individuals with varying levels of experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct CPR, AED, First Aid, and other related safety training courses. Deliver instruction in classroom, workplace, and municipal settings. Ensure all training complies with current certifying agency standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate attendance, testing, certification, and course records. Prepare training materials, equipment, and instructional resources. Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback. Promote a safe and engaging learning environment. Coordinate with Business and Industry Services staff regarding scheduling and course logistics. Maintain current instructor certifications and stay informed of industry updates. Represent EOC professionally when working with business, industry, and municipal clients. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Current CPR Instructor certification through an approved certifying organization such as: American Heart Association (AHA) American Red Cross (ARC) Health & Safety Institute (HSI) Equivalent nationally recognized provider Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Minimum one year of teaching, training, healthcare, public safety, or related experience preferred. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to training locations throughout the EOC district. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching adult learners. Background in healthcare, emergency medical services, fire service, occupational safety, or public safety. Experience delivering workplace safety training for businesses and municipalities. Additional instructor certifications in First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Stop the Bleed, or related safety courses. Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate CPR skills and emergency response techniques. Ability to lift and transport training equipment, including CPR manikins and AED trainers. Ability to stand and instruct for extended periods.
