About the role Cascade Training Solutions is hiring part-time, W-2 AHA Instructors to teach BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS to healthcare providers across Oregon and SW Washington. You'll run hands-on, scenario-based classes out of our Hillsboro and Tigard training centers, with additional classes at client sites throughout the region. This is an as-needed role. You set your availability, and we schedule you against confirmed class bookings. Classes run seven days a week, including some evenings, so there's flexibility to fit this around clinical work or another schedule. It's a strong fit for a clinician, first responder, or educator who wants to stay sharp, teach what they know, and pick up well-paid instructional work without a fixed weekly commitment. Two ways to qualify You're already an AHA Instructor in BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS — great, let's talk. You're not an instructor yet, but you have the clinical background. If you pass our initial interview, we'll train and certify you as an AHA Instructor at no cost to you . Training typically takes a couple of weeks depending on your availability. AHA requires instructor certification before we can formally bring you on, so a formal offer follows once you're certified. Ideally you can teach all three disciplines, but we're glad to hear from people who can cover any one of them. What you'll do Deliver engaging BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS courses to adult learners, making sure they leave with a solid grasp of the critical concepts. Run hands-on, scenario-based skills sessions that hold to AHA standards of care. Assess student progress and give clear, constructive feedback. Keep accurate class and student records. Stay current on AHA guidelines and best practices in resuscitation and emergency care education. What you need A current or previously held AHA Provider card in the discipline(s) you'd teach. If your card has lapsed, that's fine — instructor training brings you current.

For ACLS or PALS:

relevant clinical experience — you've worked in a role that required those credentials and where you actually used those skills (for example, emergency, critical care, ICU, or EMS/paramedic settings). PALS additionally rewards pediatric/PICU/NICU experience.

For BLS:

a healthcare or first-responder background; the clinical bar is broader than for

ACLS/PALS.

Strong presentation and classroom-leadership skills. Willingness to travel to class sites across Oregon and SW Washington. Availability for at least some evening and/or weekend classes. How you're paid Pay is per class and depends on the course, its location, and your role in it. Classes run from about 3 to 9 hours; a 3.5-hour BLS course pays $114, and a PALS course pays up to $312.
