Job Description

We're looking for someone who is confident, compassionate, and completely comfortable having the conversations that matter most — and that not everyone is willing to have. As our CAPP (Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) Health Educator, you'll work directly inside partner schools across St. Lawrence County delivering evidence-based sexual health and pregnancy prevention education to adolescents in a way that is age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and genuinely impactful. This role requires a specific kind of professional. Someone who can walk into a middle or high school classroom, command respect, deliver sensitive content with confidence and care, and leave students better informed than when they walked in. You'll work independently across multiple school sites, manage your own programming schedule, and be trusted to represent this organization — and this mission — with consistency and integrity every single day. If you believe that young people deserve access to honest, evidence-based health information, and you have the maturity and skill to deliver it, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do Curriculum Delivery & Programming Deliver evidence-based adolescent health curricula — including Be Proud! Be Responsible! and Making Proud Choices! — with fidelity to program standards Facilitate age-appropriate discussions on reproductive health, healthy relationships, decision-making, and pregnancy prevention Adapt delivery style to meet the needs of diverse student populations across grade levels while maintaining curriculum integrity School & Community Engagement Build trusted relationships with school administrators, teachers, and staff to support a safe and supportive learning environment Coordinate health-related events and outreach activities that reinforce and extend classroom programming Serve as a consistent, professional presence within your partner schools and the broader community Data & Accountability Track participation, program metrics, and student outcomes accurately and on time Maintain thorough records and contribute to grant reporting requirements without fail Ensure all programming meets state and federal CAPP guidelines and deliverables What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health, Education, or a related field Experience working with youth or school-based programs Comfort and confidence delivering sensitive health content to adolescent audiences Strong classroom presence and communication skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across multiple sites with minimal supervision
