Job Description

Job Summary Lessi is looking for a part-time Educator Outreach Specialist — a current or former K-12 special education teacher who wants contract work with a startup, without leaving the classroom community behind. You'll be the credible, in-the-trenches voice that connects Lessi with sped teachers and case managers across
Minnesota:
building relationships, gathering honest feedback, and helping us stay grounded in what actually helps teachers day to day. This isn't sales or marketing. It's peer-to-peer trust-building — someone who can walk into a room of sped teachers and say "I get it, I've done your job" and mean it. Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with special education teachers, case managers, and district staff across target Minnesota communities Represent Lessi at conferences, meetings, and informal educator gatherings Gather honest, unfiltered feedback from users on what's working, what's missing, and what would make Lessi genuinely useful — and relay it back to the product team Help identify and nurture teacher champions within partner districts who can advocate for Lessi organically Support onboarding and adoption within existing partner districts by staying present and responsive to real classroom needs Surface leads and warm introductions to new districts or educators, without being asked to "sell" Stay current on the day-to-day realities of sped work so Lessi's roadmap reflects the classroom, not just the boardroom Qualifications Current or recent experience as a special education teacher or case manager (K-12) Deep, credible understanding of IEPs, caseload demands, and the daily grind of sped work Naturally warm, high-energy communicator who builds trust fast with skeptical or overworked teachers Comfortable being the face of a small startup in informal, relationship-driven settings Genuine curiosity about product feedback — able to ask good questions and listen without getting defensive Existing relationships or credibility within Minnesota special education networks a strong plus Wants flexible, part-time contract work alongside (or after) classroom teaching Why this role You'd be an early, trusted voice inside a company built specifically for people doing the hardest job in education. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
