About Us More Than Words | Speech-Feeding-Lactation is a therapist-owned pediatric practice providing speech therapy, feeding therapy, occupational therapy, and lactation services to families throughout the Phoenix Metro area. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our growing team serving families in South Scottsdale and surrounding communities. Position Type 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation $75.00-$110.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials. Schedule Create your own schedule Flexible hours Choose the days and times that work best for you Opportunities for daytime, evening, and weekend visits based on your availability More Than Words | Speech-Feeding-Lactation is seeking an experienced IBCLC to provide lactation support services to infants and families through both office-based consultations and home visits throughout South Scottsdale and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting breastfeeding families, enjoys building relationships with caregivers, and values working as part of an interdisciplinary team. This position offers exceptional flexibility and autonomy while providing access to referrals and collaboration with speech-language pathologists, feeding therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive lactation assessments for infants and caregivers Provide evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation support Evaluate infant feeding concerns, including latch difficulties, milk transfer concerns, nipple pain, low milk supply, oversupply, pumping concerns, and bottle-feeding transitions Develop individualized care plans and provide caregiver education Complete timely documentation for all services provided Conduct both clinic-based consultations and in-home visits Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, feeding therapists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers as needed Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary case discussions when appropriate Maintain professional standards and compliance with IBCLC requirements
Qualifications Certification:
Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of lactation consulting experience preferred.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for home visits throughout South Scottsdale and surrounding areas.
Licensure:
Current Arizona professional license (if applicable to your discipline).
Technology Skills:
Comfortable with electronic documentation and telehealth platforms.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds. Why Join Our Team?
