Job Summary:
Provides advanced nursing practice in diabetes care through clinical practice, education, consultation and research. Provides outpatient diabetes care and education, participates in diabetes program development and community outreach. Provides nursing, resource, and consultant services, as needed to achieve and maintain quality diabetes care. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
A minimum of 1 year of patient care experience as an RN is required. A minimum of 1 year of diabetes related patient care experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. If hired prior to December 6th, 1981 the BSN requirement is waived and an ADN or nursing diploma required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION
Current state of WI Registered Nurse license or current license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact. Registered by the American Association of Diabetes Educators as a Certified Diabetes Educator required or obtained within 3 years of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Compensation, Benefits & Perks at Froedtert Health Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $36.38
