Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking a senior level Knowledge Management Lead to join our Huntsville, AL. team. This is a senior level position supporting an Army project office. We are seeking a results-oriented Knowledge Management Lead to integrate people, processes, and tools throughout the information lifecycle. The ideal candidate will lead a team in developing a sophisticated knowledge management framework that creates shared understanding and improves organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable knowledge and enhancing collaboration across the organization. You will work closely with government civilians, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity and accessibility of mission-critical information. Core Responsibilities Lead the development, deployment, and refinement of a comprehensive Knowledge Management Strategy. Develop and manage project office operational planning and communication strategies to ensure alignment with all stakeholders. Design, manage, and maintain a detailed information architecture model. This includes mapping operations and communications processes, data flows and organizational structures to optimize information accessibility and use. Oversee the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of the Knowledge Management database. Establish and govern clear processes and procedures for records management, including data retention, archiving, and disposition, to manage the full information lifecycle. Lead organizational change by developing and implementing frameworks that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing. Execute the communication plan to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged. Develop procedures for identifying, capturing, and validating organizational knowledge. Ensure the quality, relevance, and accuracy of content within the knowledge management systems.
Experience and Skills:
Basic Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in knowledge management, configuration management, or a related field involving the management of data, information, and processes. Demonstrated experience managing both physical and digital information assets, including their storage, use, and dissemination. Proven ability to successfully drive organizational change and a track record of taking initiative in a team environment. Excellent creative problem-solving skills and the ability to transform complex data into actionable knowledge. Proficiency in data management, information architecture, and project management principles. Security Requirements The candidate must currently possess or have the ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
