We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.The Position:
We're looking for a Health Information Technician / Coding Assistant who strives to provide operational excellence and genuine care in a team environment. Our Health Information Management (HIM) Department is primarily responsible for: Patient health records and ensure that needed health information is complete, accurate and available to legitimate users. Provides ICD-10 codes on admission and concurrently as required. Prepares release of information documents, including but not limited to audit, patient and subpoena requests. Conduct medical record audits. Protect patient privacy, provide information security, comply with standards and regulations regarding health information and administer health information computer systems.Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of health information experience in any healthcare setting. Knowledge of ICD-10 and medical terminology. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred, but not required.The Benefits:
