$69240.53•77,895.59 Bachelor's degree in health information management, computer information systems, medical informatics, or related field is required. Two years' experience in health information management or similar field is required. Must be Certified in NextGen or Epic EHR. If not certified must become within one year of hire is required and must maintain certification for duration of employment. Must be Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through AHIMA. Experience leading enterprise-level projects, preferably involving EHR implementation, optimization, or migration. Ability to manage technology budgets, including procurement, vendor evaluation, and contract management. Ability to ensure data integrity, system standardization, and governance practices. Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions, working effectively with IT, vendors, and leadership. Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures related to technology and health information systems. Strong project management skills, including prioritization, resource allocation, and timeline management. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, databases and/or data entry, Spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred. Demonstrated experience working with Native American clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations. Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal physical requirements. Provide leadership and oversight of all departments and staff managing EHR systems across the HSD Division, ensuring standardization, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective system utilization. Serve as project lead for all HSD technology and electronic health initiatives, establishing priorities in collaboration with IT and HSD leadership. Develop and manage the HSD technology budget, including evaluation and procurement of software and hardware. Lead the strategic planning, optimization, and standardization of EHR systems, workflows, templates, and reporting across all programs. Collaborate with IT, software vendors, and program leaders to maintain, enhance, and support all HSD technology systems. Oversee system access, data governance, and security to ensure appropriate user permissions and protection of sensitive information. Support system functionality through troubleshooting, upgrades, compatibility review, and coordination with technical teams. Lead the HSD technology committee and facilitate regular communication with Directors and stakeholders regarding system performance and project updates. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of required data and maintain compliance with AAAHC and other applicable standards as it relates to Electronic Health Records and Health Information Systems. Develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures related to HSD technology and health information systems. Support training initiatives and promote standardized, efficient use of EHR systems across all departments. Participate in committees, meetings, and continuous quality improvement efforts as assigned. Adhere to attendance, training, and organizational policies, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment and flexibility to assume additional duties as assigned. Must attend all mandatory department training courses. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
