Job Summary:
As the HIM Record Completion Specialist, you coordinate activities and ensure HIM and related functions are in compliance with all legal, regulatory, accrediting, licensing and best practice standards. You will coordinate clinical suspension activities for all ProMedica hospitals to ensure documentation is complete and timely in accordance with regulatory guidelines, standards and regulations. In this role, you will coordinate, train and assist clinicians in record completion activities. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Experience with medical terminology 2 years experience in health information management, physician office, clinical or hospital business office, comparable experience, or applicable college education
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Strong understanding and previous knowledge of accreditation bodies (i.e., JC, ACHC, etc.) and familiarity with other, licensing, and regulatory standards RHIT or RHIA certification ProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
