Full Job Description Patient Care Technician Accountable To:
Director of Nursing The Patient Care Technician is a staff member who maintains the stocking of equipment/supplies, cleaning of the Center, and assisting the nurses and Surgical Technicians in preparation for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedure duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care Technician duties will consist of, but are not limited to: Stocking of new deliveries (supplies and equipment). Daily checks with stocking the Center in its entirety. Cleaning and room turnovers of the ORs per the Center's policy and procedures. Assist with patient positioning in the ORs. Assisting with general duties asked for by the other staff members. Assist with moving patients from Pre-OP to OR and from PACU to their vehicles Assist front desk with their duties including giving breaks Always be professional and courteous. Follow HIPAA privacy guidelines. Multi-tasker, team player, adaptable, and organized a must. All other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have BLS Must possess knowledge of supplies and equipment. Must possess knowledge of proper cleaning technique per the Center's policy and procedures. Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both verbal and written.
