Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Graduation or equivalent
  • One (1) year of responsible experience working with students in a public school setting
  • A CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid certificate from a standardized course approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Possess a valid and appropriate California Driver's License and qualification for insurability with the district's insurance carrier.
  • Pass VVUSD District Exam.
  • Complete LEA section if applicable - If you have ever worked for any other school district including VVUSD, you must list all previous/current school districts under the LEA section, this is different than the Record of Work Experience section. Online Application Packet Interested applicants are required to submit a complete EDJOIN online application and the following attachments:
  • Copy of High School diploma or GED - If in another language, document must be translated. We can also accept HS transcripts that show proof of graduation.
  • Copy of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid certificate from a standardized course approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. (Online course certificates are not accepted).
  • Copy of California Driver's License
Test Scores:
If you have taken the exam for Substitute Health Technician within the last 3 years, attach a copy of your letter indicating a passing score of 75% or higher. (Test scores are good for 3 years from the original testing date.)
  • Complete LEA section if applicable - If you have ever worked for any other school district including VVUSD, you must list all previous/current school districts under the LEA section, this is different than the Record of Work Experience section
  • Please note:
  • All document copies must be attached to your application at time of submission.
  • If "Record of Work Experience" on application is left blank, it will be considered incomplete.
