Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Care Technician, where your compassionate approach and technical expertise will directly enhance patient outcomes. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on patient care, assist medical staff with procedures, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients across various hospital settings. Your dedication will help foster healing, comfort, and trust during some of the most critical moments in patients' lives. Responsibilities Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and comfort to promote overall well-being Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately Perform clinical tasks including IV insertion, catheterization, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and suturing under supervision or according to protocol Support physicians and nurses during procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities and medical procedures in compliance with hospital policies Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations by applying basic life support (BLS) skills and alerting medical staff as needed Demonstrate strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments and care planning Qualifications Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly preferred, especially in acute care or emergency room settings Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology fundamentals Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or suturing are advantageous Skilled in venipuncture, IV insertion, catheterization, and other clinical procedures listed above Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent infection during patient interactions and procedures Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide excellent patient care Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
