In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily activities, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support residents' physical and emotional well-being. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure safe, respectful, and personalized care in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with patients, utilizing your medical knowledge and caregiving skills to promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess health status Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and tube feeding management Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation of patient care activities Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed and updated regularly Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Hands-on experience in hospital settings or home & community care environments is advantageous Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and medical documentation practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical records management is essential Demonstrated competency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate recordkeeping Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional senior care and support.
